Meet Dr. Rosenblum
Dr. Rosenblum graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1963 after first completing his undergraduate studies at UCLA. From that time until 1995 he maintained a full time practice in West Los Angeles. For more than twenty five years he taught at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry on a part-time basis. In 1994 he served as president of USCSD's Part-Time Faculty Assembly. In 1995 he accepted appointment as clinical director of the Problem Based Learning program. He is now Professor of Clinical Dentistry and chairs the school's ethics committee.
Dr. Rosenblum is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, a life member of the American Dental Association and affiliates and numerous other professional organizations. He has also been honored with membership in OKU the national dental honor Society and served as president of that organizations chapter at USC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Rosenblum has taught in various clinical disciplines, but for the past two decade he has been teaching applied professional ethics. He has served on the Los Angeles County Bar Association Bioethics Committee, the California Dental Association's Judicial Council, and is an ethics consultant for both the American College of Dentists and the California State Board of Dental Examiners. He is a founding member of the Professional Ethics in Dentistry Network, now the American Society of Dental Ethics (ASDE) and presently serves on the board of the ASDE. In 1994 Dr. Rosenblum was awarded the Distinguished Service Award in Ethics by the California Dental Association.
Although most of his time is now devoted to teaching and continuing to help guide the Problem Based Learning program, Dr. Rosenblum continues to be involved in "hands-on" clinical care. He maintains a private general practice in West Los Angeles. He believes that continuing to treat patients is essential to his success as a dental educator.
