Abdi Sameni, DDS

Dr. Abdi Sameni is a former Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Dentistry and a 1991 graduate of Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. He is a former faculty for the “esthetic selective” which emphasizes a “biomimetic approach” to restorative and esthetic care. He was the original director of the USC Advanced Esthetic Dentistry Continuum for the portion relating to indirect porcelain veneers. He is the former chairman and developer of the “USC International Restorative Dentistry Symposium” for the Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. In 2019 He founded the Los Angeles Dental Symposium. Dr. Sameni lectures nationally and internationally on topics related to interdisciplinary dentistry, digital photography and its applications for dentistry, and various aspects of biomimetic and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Sameni is a member of numerous professional organizations and societies, which include The American College of Dentists, The American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the OKU National Dental Honor Society.

Kia Karimi, DMD

Dr. Kia Karimi received his DMD degree from University of Szeged, Hungary 2010 and DDS from Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2014. His postgraduate training includes one year training in “Advanced Clinical Training in Restorative Dentistry” from UCLA School of Dentistry and, three additional years of training in Advanced Prosthodontics Residency from USC School of Dentistry which he completed in 2019. He has been awarded “The Most Accomplished Alumni” in 2015 from University of Szeged, “Max Sosin Scholarship” in 2017 and 2019, and “Howard Landesman” Scholarship in 2018 from USC. He lectures nationally and Internationally on Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry and is a peer reviewer for dental journals such as “Clinical Case Reports.” A board eligible prosthodontist, Dr. Karimi’s practice is focused on full mouth rehabilitations, implant and Minimally Invasive Cosmetic and Adhesive Dentistry. Dr. Karimi is a faculty member at UCLA School of Dentistry in the Postdoctoral Restorative Program where he teaches Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry.

Isabella Popeil, DDS

Dr. Isabella Popeil Gantman earned her DDS degree at University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Prior to dental school, Dr. Popeil earned a degree in Fine Art, with an emphasis in Ceramics, from the University of Southern California. While completing her undergraduate education, her sculptures would have been found adorning the walls of galleries in Los Angeles as well as on loan to the USC Provost. Dr. Popeil is committed to the future of the dental field through her involvement in minimally invasive and biomimetic dental focused continuing education, beginning before she entered dental school. In the recent years, she has participated in inter-professional research that involved both Audiology and Dental programs and was subsequently awarded the OKU Sutro Excellence Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Research." It's with her artistic abilities and enthusiasm for the field and patient care that she wishes to inspire the community.
